Stereo free viewing allows a person to view an image in 3D without any devices, no headsets, no glasses, nothing. To free view an image, one must have two adjacent pictures, on the left is a picture taken from the perspective of the left eye, and on the right is a picture taken from the perspective of the right eye. These two pictures are known as a “Stereo pair”. To free view a stereo pair, one must look at a distant point and then bring the stereo pair into their line of sight, essentially looking beyond the stereo pair. Doing this combines parallel convergence with a reading focal length causing a 3D image to emerge from the stereo pair.
Free viewing is easy to learn, similar to learning to ride a bike. The following stereo pairs are provided to help demonstrate the new and exciting visual experience.
